But Now When Great Fortunes Are Only Made By Business, Business Is War. " Christian N

Business.

War is business: be battle ready! - you might think that society has not progressed to the point that war is no longer needed and the bloody battles over land and resources are a thing of the past. Minds and pens have replaced the old shield and sword while the battle field is the corporate conference room and not the grassy knoll but warriors still swing striking blows. No longer do we assume that warriors sharpen their swords and go charging headlong into the opposing ranks for honor, glory and wealth.

To be battle ready is your charge and responsibility as a professional. "Formally when great fortunes were only made in war, war was a business. - bovee 1820 - 1904. But now when great fortunes are only made by business, business is war. " Christian N. Any way people make money is a competition between one group( or individual) and another group( or individual) . The higher you are in the command structure of the organization the more influence you have in achieving your personal goals. "In the business world, everyone is always working at legitimate cross purposes, governed by self - interest. " Harold Geneen 1984. Just like people used to come together to create an army individuals come together to create corporations and economic partnerships.

In order for people to maximize their obtainment of resources within the organizations in which they work and against their competitors each day should be an opportunity to get battle ready. - successful people know that success must be made through smart and hard work and few things are given in life as a" gift" . This means the person will have to work on their business skills which can include education, their people skills, physical fitness, their efficiency, etc, their motivation... There may be a few skeptics out their about relating the professional to the warrior and the business to the army but these are likely the same individuals who continue to fail in business and their professions. Are you battle ready?
